Results of the May/June 2016 West African Senior School Certificate
Examination (WASSCE) taken by over 1,555, 000 million candidates
nationwide would be released on today Friday 05th August, 2016.
The Head of National Office (HNO) of WAEC, Mr. Olutise I. Adenipekun, according to the acting Head Public Affairs, Mr. D. G. Ojijeogu would announce the release of May/June 2016 WASSCE during a media briefing at council head office Yaba, Lagos.
The release of the results for senior secondary school candidates’ exam would be the first by the HNO even though he announced the results for the Nov/Dec 2015 but did not conduct the private candidates’ exam.
The release of the May/June 2016 WASSCE would brighten the chances of candidates in using the results for the on-going university admission exercise.
Some state governments stopped the payment of the May/June WASSCE fees for their candidates because of the dwindling resources.
How to check 2016/2017 WAEC Result
It is quite simple to check your waec result online via www.waecdirect.org all you have to do is to follow the guidelines bellow appropriately to avoid mistakes because if you make any mistake, you will have to buy another waec scratch card to check your result.
» Visit waec result checker at waecdirect.org from a desktop computer or android phone
» When the page has loaded, enter your examination number in the space provided.
Note that your waec examination number consists of your school code and your seat number and it must be 11 altogether.
» Select the year of the examination you wants to check i.e 2016
» Then choose the type of examination (Either WAEC GCE or May/June Waec result)
» Enter your scratch card serial number located at the waec result checking card
» Finally put your scratch card pin on the space provided for it.
» When all the variables are filled, click on submit and wait for your waec result to show up.
